A little bit about Granite
There are many types of Granite with varying characteristics. We understand and appreciate this. Most Granite comes in a polished finish although some Granite has a matte (honed) finish. Unlike marble, granite usually does not etch. (However we are now starting to see some of the Granite being used today etching from acidic items being spilled on the surface.)

Here are some suggestions to keep your Granite looking like new:
- Dust mop or vacuum floors with a soft bristled brush
- Clean up spills immediately
- Clean with a neutral pH cleaner
- Always test any cleaner in an inconspicuous area
- Remember that some latex backed area rugs may discolor your stone
- Area rugs with a rough or course backing may scratch your stone
