WHAT IS STONE RESTORATION?

Stone Restoration is the process of repairing or restoring your marble, travertine, limestone, terrazzo, onyx, slate and all natural stone back to its original beauty.

We can restore your dirty, scratched, uneven floors and surfaces
and restore them to look as good as new... sometimes even better!

Excel Stone and Tile Care offers complete stone restoration on Marble, Granite, Travertine, Limestone, Sandstone and all other natural stones. We use only the best diamond pads, abrasives and powders along with the latest technology to give you the best job possible.

Some of the processes we use to restore your stone are:

Re-Surfacing: This is a wet sanding process with diamond abrasives.

Grinding: This process is used to remove any uneven edges called lippage. Once we grind your floor it will be even with no more lippage, creating a flat floor.

Honing: This is a process of resurfacing the stone which eliminates scratches and etching caused by acidic spills. This process will leave the stone with a smooth, uniform, slip resistant finish.

Polishing: This step is completed with diamond pads and polishing powders to give you the finish that you want. This can be a matte finish (honed), a polished finish or a high gloss finish.

Repairs: We can repair chips, cracks, broken tiles and grout.

Cleaning: Cleaning is the final step and is done to remove any soil and contaminants from your stone. Rinsing is then done to remove any residue and to make sure your stone is at a neutral ph.

Sealing: Sealers or Color Enhancers are applied to protect your stone.
