Saltillo Tile and Mexican pavers are very popular in the San Diego area. At Excel Stone and Tile Care we understand that there are many types of Saltillo tiles, some of the most common are Super Saltillo, Concrete Saltillo Pavers, Mexican Pavers, Manganese Saltillo, Terracotta, Lincoln Pavers and French Terracotta to name a few. Requesting an Estimate for Saltillo Cleaning and Repair Services

Sometimes we are asked to provide an estimate over the phone. This is impossible without performing an inspection of these tiles and perhaps doing some testing so that we know what is the best course of action for your particular needs.  The reason an inspection is so important is because there are so many types of Saltillo tiles with different finishes applied to them.  We need to inspect the color, see if it has a faux finish, see what type of sealer has been applied (penetrating, urethane, acrylic or was it pre-sealed at the factory?).  Does it need to be stripped?  If so what type of stripper?  Once we perform an inspection we can answer all of your questions and provide you with a fair and honest quote.

Saltillo Cleaning and Repair Services

We can take care of the cleaning, sealing, repairs, grout repairs and stain removal.  We can provide you with a matte finish, high gloss finish or a natural finish.

We can provide you with cleaners that are safe for your particular tile and educate you on the proper care of your tile.  We do residential and commercial projects and can provide post construction cleaning and sealing.

Here are some suggestions to keep your tiles looking like new:

  • Dust mop or vacuum with a soft bristled brush
  • Clean up spills immediately
  • Clean with a neutral ph cleaner
  • Always test any cleaner in an inconspicuous area
  • Remember that some latex backed area rugs may discolor your tile
  • Area rugs with a rough or course backing may scratch your tile
